The Sun Comes Out Tonight

Filter will be releasing their sixth studio album June 4th 2013. Featuring the new single, "What Do You Say". I personally think it's a great song. It goes right into a head banging beat that reminds me of good old 90's rock. The song,"We Hate It When You Get What You Want", can be downloaded for free on the band's official website. It's a good song, though not as good as "What Do You Say".

Led Zeppelin

So I was watching That '70's Show, the other day. The episode in which Fez goes to a Led Zeppelin concert. Which got me thinking about how great it would be to see the legendary rock band live. To see one of best and most amazing bands in the world in person.

Although it doesn't seem very likely they'll be on tour again, given what was said in a CBS interview with Charlie Rose in December 2012. Robert Plant didn't seem think they should (or could?) create new music and go on tour. Although Jimmy Page did seem to think other wise. Aside from their 2007 Reunion concert, it's been 33 years since the band separated. After drummer, John Bonhman passed away in 1980, the remaining members didn't think it would be the same and decided to go their on ways. And yet, 33 years later they remain very popular.

It Might Get Loud

Back in 2009 filmmaker, Davis Guggenheim made a documentary about Jimmy Page (Led Zeppelin), Jack White (White Stripes), and The Edge ( U2). Three of the best guitarist in rock history. The documentary explores the styles and careers of all three guitarist.

I was excited when I first saw the trailer. The thought of three rock legends coming together for a documentary was rather mind blowing. I'm blogging about this because not many people seem to know about it. Everyone I've mentioned this to had no previous knowledge of it. So, I thought you guys should know about it. You can find several clips on You Tube. Some clips, such as the one with Kashmir, explain the origins of some of the melodies created by the guitarists.

And at least one track from each of the 14 Judas Priest classics from 1974 to 2008. The band has been busy working in the studio recording new material. Limp Bizkit

Limp Bizkit has announced their newest album, Stampede of The Disco Elephants. Their first release with Cash Money Records. Their new single from the album features Lil Wayne. I'm not a fan of Lil Wayne so I wasn't excited by the news but it seems to be getting good reviews. They are also working on an EP that will be the follow up to their 2005 set, "The Unquestionable Truth, Part 1".  Said by Fred Durst to be "some crazy Limp Bizkit s---". No release dates have been announced for either of the projects but they already have several shows set across the US and Europe for this month and the following.

Deftones

Sad news from the music world. Deftones bassist, passed away Saturday, April 13th. He was in car crash back in 2008. The collision sent him flying out of the car and left him in a coma. In 2009 it was reported that he was in a semi-conscious state after making slow and steady improvements. A year later doctors said his neuron functions were improving.
"He was taken to the emergency room, and at 3 am today, his heart just suddenly stopped, " his mother said.
